What you'll do:
- Provide comprehensive legal and strategic advice to senior management and cross-functional teams across all aspects of retail operations, ensuring full alignment with Thai laws as well as international standards.
- Oversee the creation, implementation, and ongoing improvement of corporate governance frameworks that foster transparency, accountability, and enduring business integrity throughout the organisation.
- Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of a diverse range of commercial agreements—including sale and purchase contracts, leases, service agreements, and joint venture arrangements—to protect company interests and minimise legal risks.
- Monitor legislative developments affecting both the retail industry and digital economy, proactively advising on regulatory compliance requirements and operational adjustments needed to maintain best practices.
- Drive policy development initiatives by integrating complex legal perspectives with broader corporate priorities to promote organisational excellence and sustainable growth.
- Champion ethical conduct by leading internal investigations into potential breaches, promoting compliance awareness among staff at all levels, and nurturing a culture rooted in fairness and trust.
- Represent the organisation in litigation proceedings as well as dispute resolution processes, formulating robust strategies for civil, criminal, or administrative matters as required.
- Liaise effectively with regulators, government agencies, and industry bodies to advocate for organisational interests while securing necessary approvals for ongoing operations.
- Support digital transformation efforts by providing expert guidance on PDPA compliance issues, cybercrime prevention measures, and technology-driven governance initiatives relevant to the modern retail context.
What you bring:
- A genuine passion for sports or fitness reflects alignment with company culture focused on wellbeing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) is essential; holding a lawyer’s license or an LL.M. in Business or International Law would be considered advantageous for this position.
- A minimum of 5–7 PQE working within legal roles—ideally gained in retail, real estate or commercial sectors—demonstrates your readiness for this responsibility.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Civil and Commercial Law, Labour Law, Land Law as well as general business law is required to navigate complex legal scenarios effectively.
- Proven experience liaising with public authorities such as the Land Department or local administrative offices showcases your ability to manage external relationships efficiently.
- Advanced skills in contract review, drafting complex agreements, negotiation tactics as well as risk assessment are vital for protecting organisational interests.
- Analytical thinking combined with solution-oriented approaches enables you to address multifaceted challenges creatively while supporting strategic objectives.
- Exceptional communication abilities paired with stakeholder management skills allow you to convey complex information clearly across diverse audiences.
