REGIONAL LEGAL COUNSEL, APAC

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Regional Legal Counsel to join a leading global animal health company. This role offers the chance to work on a regional scope within the APAC region, under the supervision of the Group Legal Director.

What you'll do:

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to advise, negotiate and draft various contracts, manage pre-litigation and carry out regular legal monitoring. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a company that is committed to ensuring the highest level of care and welfare for animals worldwide.

* Advise, negotiate and draft various contracts including secret agreements, research service contracts, consulting contracts, and research collaboration contracts with public or private institutes.

* License option and license agreements for patents or other industrial property rights.

* Manage any pre-litigation and carry out regular legal monitoring to keep the legal department's contract library up-to-date.

* Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.

* Report directly to the Group Legal Director and maintain a dotted line to the APAC Vice-President.

* Work autonomously in managing your files while demonstrating responsiveness and excellent interpersonal skills.

What you bring:

As our ideal candidate for the Regional Legal Counsel position, you are dynamic by nature with an ability to take initiatives, prioritize actions, and manage files autonomously. Your excellent interpersonal skills will be a great asset in this role.

* High education in Business Law / Contract Law / Industrial Property Law.

* At least 6 years' experience in a similar position in a pharmaceutical company or in the Life Sciences department of an international law firm.

* Comfortable with the legal aspects of creating, protecting and exploiting IP rights (patents, know-how, etc.).

* Perfect command of English, written and oral.

* Very good writing skills.

* Ease navigating in a matrix environment.
