Head of legal Salary: Competitive and based on experience Location: Bangkok

Job Responsibilities:

• Providing strategic leadership and direction for the legal department, overseeing all legal activities and operations.
• Developing and implementing legal strategies and policies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
• Managing a team of legal professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure high performance and professional growth.
• Overseeing the drafting, review, and negotiation of complex contracts and legal documents to protect the company's interests and mitigate risks.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders, such as senior management and cross-functional teams, to provide legal advice and guidance on various business initiatives and projects.
• Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, and overseeing the implementation of necessary measures to address legal and regulatory changes.
• Managing legal disputes and litigation, working closely with external counsel when necessary, and representing the company's interests in negotiations and settlements.
• Building and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders, such as regulatory authorities, government agencies, and industry associations, to stay updated on legal developments and foster positive partnerships.
• Providing legal consultation and support for mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions, conducting due diligence and managing legal risks throughout the process

Key requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in law or higher
• Extensive experience in a senior legal role, preferably in a management capacity
• Proven track record in providing strategic legal advice and guidance to senior management and driving legal initiatives
• Strong knowledge of corporate law, contract law, and other relevant legal areas
• Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to understand complex legal issues and develop practical solutions
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
