Corporate Legal Counsel

Corporate Legal Counsel Location: Bangkok Petchburi Report to: General Counsel This manufacturing company is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Corporate Legal Counsel to join their team in Bangkok, Thailand. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with the business operations in Thailand and the Legal Department in the Asia Pacific Region.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a broad range of legal matters, including commercial contracts, corporate governance, procurement, channel management, litigation and risk mitigation. This position requires a commercially minded and practical legal talent who can provide proactive and business-oriented legal counselling.

Job Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and revise various contracts and other legal documents and provide legal opinions.
• Interact directly with business operations in Thailand and provide legal support to daily commercial activities.
• Conduct legal research and provide proactive, business-oriented legal counselling.
• Implement global/regional strategies, policies and processes in Thailand.
• Support litigation and pre-litigation matters in Thailand.
• Assist in developing legal strategies for risk mitigation and process improvement.
• Manage external counsels on litigation and other legal matters.
• Conduct business-oriented legal trainings to meet regional and local objectives.
• Work on special projects as assigned.

To perform in this role successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty adequately with the excellent interpersonal skill and strong legal knowledge.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Law
• Minimum 7 years of legal experience in a law firm or multinational company.
• High level of integrity and commitment to compliance.
• Strong language skills in Thai and English.
• Strong legal research and drafting skills.
• Proven ability to engage proactively in legal and cross-functional processes.
• Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
• Strong business acumen with a problem-solving approach.
