Legal Counsel

Our client is the global market leader in chemical and ingredients distribution. They are offering comprehensive solutions as well as individual chemical products throughout Thailand. They are looking for a Legal Counsel (x1 vacancy) to join their expanding team.

About the Legal Counsel Role:

You will work closely with APAC legal team and regional counsel for all legal matters. As a Legal Counsel, you will be playing a critical role in optimise gross profit margin by driving product management and marketing for industry-specific primary basket products within APAC region. The salary offered is attractive with provident fund.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reviewing, drafting and negotiating a variety of contracts and legal documents
• Ensuring all contracts accurately reflect the best benefit of company and in compliance with all applicable laws.
• Leading all legal and compliance matters and assigned APAC projects
• Providing legal advice to management, other divisions and internal stakeholders regarding legal issues and risks
• Ensuring contracts are executed in compliance with company policies on internal corporate approvals and applicable law
• Independently drafting and responding to legal notices received by the company
• Liaising with external counsels to streamline non-tax litigation involving the company and submitting quarterly reports on litigation status
• Providing legal advice relating to employment matters and be a trusted partner to the human resources department
• Implementing APAC legal and compliance policies and guidelines and conducting necessary training as instructed by the APAC legal department
• Enabling proper and coherent communication between regional legal and local commercial for alignment of goals and objectives

To succeed in this role, you must have high ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in English.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor or master’s degree in law
• A holder of Thai lawyer license
• At least five years of post-qualification experience, In-house experience in an MNC is an advantage
• Ability to prioritise multiple projects under strict deadlines and ability to multi-task and handle highly confidential information
• Ability to work independently without daily supervision
