Legal Counsel

Our client, a well-established IT firm in Thailand, is seeking a Legal Counsel to join their team. In this role, you will provide expert legal support to ensure the company’s business operations comply with applicable laws. The ideal candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and providing legal advice on agreements with government entities and business partners, as well as liaising with outsourced law firms.

What you'll do:

As a Legal Counsel, your primary role will be to provide expert legal support to ensure that all aspects of the company's operations adhere to the relevant laws. You will be instrumental in drafting and reviewing agreements with various stakeholders including government entities and business partners. Your expertise will also be relied upon for providing general legal advice to different departments within the organisation. Furthermore, you will act as a liaison with outsourced law firms, coordinating their involvement in various legal matters.

• Prepare, review, and negotiate agreements between the company and government entities, as well as business partners, to ensure they align with company interests and legal standards.
• Provide general legal advice to internal departments to ensure compliance with laws and regulations relevant to the business operations.
• Act as the point of contact for outsourcing law firms, coordinating their involvement in legal matters, and ensuring the company’s needs are met effectively.

The ideal candidate for the Legal Counsel position brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the field of law. With at least 3 years of experience under your belt, preferably in corporate, commercial or compliance law, you have honed your skills in drafting and reviewing commercial contracts and agreements. Your strong understanding of business laws and regulations makes you an invaluable asset to our client's team. Your excellent communication and negotiation skills enable you to work effectively both independently and with external legal partners.

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B).
• At least 3 years of legal experience, ideally in corporate, commercial, or compliance law.
• Experience with drafting and reviewing commercial contracts and agreements.
• Strong understanding of business laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and with external legal partners effectively.
