Senior System Engineer

An senior system engineer (x 1 vacancy) job has just become available at one of the well-known global firms based in Thailand. Reporting directly to IT Manager, this is a role for a system engineer who is a leader in their field.

About the Senior System Engineer Role:

As a Senior System Engineer, your roles are to provide Daily IT support and carry out server administration duties.

The salary range for this role is THB60k - 80kper month + bonus + provident fund + insurance

Key Responsibilities:

• To provide day to day IT support to end users (Laptops / Desktops), server To provide day to day IT support to end users (Laptops / Desktops), server management, Active directory management & backup management
• Develop and sustain and in depth technical knowledge of Microsoft server technology, VMware technology, Virtual desktop technology & Backup system technology
• Work closely with end users and conduct requirement studies effectively
• Troubleshoot and support all users for PC, IP Phone, Printer and IT equipment
• Develop project of medium complication as assigned by IT Manager
• Manage all IT documentation properly

To succeed in this role you will need to be a creative, motivated and energetic IT support engineer, who takes initiative, enjoys finding solutions to a varying number of challenges, is detail-oriented, and takes extreme pride in their work.

Key Requirements:

• Possess a Degree /Diploma in the relevant field
• Strong hands-on experience in Microsoft server 2012/2016, VMware 6.0, VDI, Symantec Backup exec 2016, DELL storage, Cisco VOIP administration and Cisco network equipment’s, Windows 10
• Knowledge in Palo Alto network devices, Ivanti servers, AWS cloud is a Plus
• Good communications and interpersonal skills
• Highly organised, meticulous and positive working attitude
• Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Good spoken and written English
• Strong organisation skills to manage multiple timelines and complete tasks quickly within the constraints of clients’ timelines
• Able to work independently to meet project deadlines with Minimum supervision
• Awareness and pride in 100% client satisfaction
• Able to maintain and develop all IT documentation
• Ability to troubleshoot network, server and software problems
