HR Manager
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and is passionate about building robust HR foundations from the ground up. The position offers significant autonomy and visibility, working closely with senior leadership to design and implement HR systems that reflect the brand’s values and operational need
What you'll do:
As Human Resources Manager you will be responsible for laying down the essential people infrastructure that will underpin every aspect of this hospitality operation’s success. Your days will be varied—one moment you’ll be drafting detailed SOPs or piloting new HR frameworks alongside senior leaders; the next you’ll be guiding managers through recruitment processes or facilitating engaging onboarding sessions that bring new hires into the fold. You’ll act as both architect and ambassador of company culture: translating values into everyday practices through thoughtful hiring decisions, tailored training content, clear communication of expectations, and fair handling of performance issues. Your expertise will ensure that every policy not only meets legal requirements but also supports a positive workplace where employees feel valued. By proactively monitoring compliance and gathering feedback from across departments you’ll drive continuous improvement in all people-related processes. This is your chance to shape an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive—and where your contributions will have visible impact from day one.
- Design and draft comprehensive HR standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies, and frameworks covering recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training, employee discipline, compensation, benefits, and payroll processes.
- Ensure all HR systems accurately reflect the organisation’s brand culture and wellness philosophy while remaining compliant with Thai labour law and structured for future scalability.
- Work directly with the Chief Operating Officer to review, refine, pilot, and continuously improve all HR SOPs based on operational feedback from across departments.
- Implement approved HR SOPs at property level by clearly communicating them to staff, providing thorough training sessions, and ensuring consistent application throughout all hotel departments.
- Monitor compliance with established SOPs, promptly addressing any deviations or risks while serving as the on-site reference authority for HR standards and processes.
- Act as a guardian of organisational culture by translating brand philosophy into hiring criteria, leadership behaviours, performance expectations, and employee conduct standards.
- Lead full-cycle recruitment activities for all hotel departments by partnering with department heads to define role requirements and assess candidates for both competence and cultural alignment.
- Build talent pipelines for current and future workforce needs while structuring onboarding programmes that ensure cultural alignment from day one and smooth integration into the team.
- Oversee performance appraisal systems including probation reviews, confirmations, performance improvement plans (PIPs), disciplinary procedures, terminations, ensuring fairness and compliance with legal requirements.
- Identify training needs in collaboration with management; design and coordinate training programmes that support operational excellence, employee engagement, internal capability building, service standards, leadership fundamentals, wellness culture, compliance, and professional conduct.
What you bring:
- A minimum of 7–10 years’ progressive experience in human resources roles within hospitality or service-oriented industries demonstrates your ability to handle complex environments.
- Proven track record designing HR systems and SOPs from scratch or during periods of organisational growth shows your adaptability and practical skills.
- Deep understanding of Thai labour law combined with up-to-date knowledge of best practices ensures legal compliance at every stage.
- Fluency in both English and Thai (spoken and written) enables effective communication across diverse teams.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills allow you to collaborate closely with senior leadership while supporting colleagues at all levels.
- High integrity paired with professionalism means you can balance empathy with discipline when advising managers on sensitive people decisions.
- Operational mindset coupled with strategic awareness helps you anticipate future needs while delivering immediate results.
- Experience coordinating payroll administration as well as managing employment contracts, records maintenance, attendance tracking demonstrates attention to detail.
