A leading organisation in the insurance sector is seeking a Human Resources Director to oversee the full spectrum of HR functions across a large, complex structure with multiple branches and a retail business model. This is an exceptional opportunity for you to bring your expertise in strategic HR leadership, talent management, and succession planning to a well-established company that values collaboration, growth, and employee wellbeing. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the people strategy, driving organisational success, and ensuring that HR initiatives are aligned with business objectives. If you have experience within insurance or financial services and thrive in environments where your ability to connect, nurture, and support teams makes a real difference, this could be the perfect next step for your career.

  • Take on a senior leadership position with responsibility for the entire HR function across a large-scale organisation operating in the insurance sector, including branch networks and retail operations.
  • Shape and implement strategic HR initiatives that foster talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement while supporting business growth and transformation.
  • Join an inclusive workplace that values teamwork, offers flexible working opportunities, and encourages professional development through ongoing training and knowledge sharing.

What you'll do:

As Human Resources Director – Insurance Sector based in Bangkok, you will be entrusted with steering the entire HR function for a large-scale organisation renowned for its extensive branch network and retail-focused business model. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating with senior stakeholders to ensure that people strategies are fully integrated into business plans. You will focus on nurturing talent pipelines through robust succession planning processes while also enhancing employee engagement at every level. By leveraging your deep understanding of the insurance or financial services landscape, you will help shape policies that reflect best practices in compliance, diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing. Success in this role means building strong relationships across departments so that every team member feels connected to the company’s mission—and empowered to contribute their best work.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive HR strategies that align with organisational goals and support both short-term needs and long-term vision across all branches and retail outlets.
  • Oversee all aspects of human resources management including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, learning and development, and compliance.
  • Lead talent management initiatives by identifying high-potential employees, designing succession plans, and implementing programmes to nurture future leaders within the organisation.
  • Collaborate closely with executive leadership to provide expert guidance on workforce planning, organisational design, change management, and culture enhancement.
  • Champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging by fostering an environment where every team member feels valued and supported.
  • Ensure effective communication of HR policies and procedures throughout the organisation while maintaining compliance with local labour laws and industry regulations.
  • Drive employee engagement through regular feedback mechanisms, recognition programmes, wellness initiatives, and open channels for two-way communication.
  • Manage HR budgets efficiently while maximising value from investments in people-related programmes such as training opportunities or technology upgrades.
  • Monitor key HR metrics to assess effectiveness of initiatives; use data-driven insights to recommend improvements or new approaches as needed.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers at all levels by providing coaching on sensitive personnel matters with empathy and professionalism.

What you bring:

To excel as Human Resources Director – Insurance Sector you will bring significant experience overseeing complex HR functions within similarly structured organisations—preferably those operating in insurance or broader financial services. Your background should include hands-on involvement with multi-site operations where you have demonstrated sensitivity towards different teams’ needs while upholding consistent standards. You will possess advanced knowledge of Thai employment law alongside familiarity with global best practices around diversity & inclusion. Your approach is collaborative: you enjoy working closely with colleagues from various backgrounds to co-create solutions that benefit everyone involved. In addition to technical proficiency across core HR disciplines (recruitment through retention), your emotional intelligence enables you to navigate challenging conversations gracefully—always prioritising fairness & compassion.

  • Extensive experience in human resources leadership roles within large organisations—ideally from insurance or financial services sectors—with proven track record managing multi-branch or retail operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategic HR plans that drive business results while fostering an inclusive culture built on trust and mutual respect.
  • Expertise in talent management including succession planning, high-potential identification programmes, leadership development initiatives, and workforce planning.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with capacity to build rapport at all levels; able to communicate complex ideas clearly while listening empathetically to others’ perspectives.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment law relevant to Thailand’s insurance or financial industries; adept at ensuring compliance across diverse operational settings.
  • Experience designing compensation frameworks that balance market competitiveness with internal equity considerations.
  • Proven capability in leading organisational change projects—such as restructures or digital transformations—while minimising disruption for employees.
  • Track record of promoting diversity, equity & inclusion through practical policies as well as cultural advocacy within previous workplaces.
  • Ability to analyse HR data effectively; comfortable using insights from metrics such as turnover rates or engagement surveys to inform decision-making processes.

What sets this company apart:

This organisation stands out as one of Thailand’s most respected names in the insurance sector thanks to its commitment not only to customers but also its people. Employees benefit from a supportive environment where teamwork is celebrated—and where individual contributions are recognised through transparent feedback systems. The company invests heavily in professional development via tailored training opportunities designed around each person’s aspirations. Flexible working arrangements are available wherever possible so you can balance personal commitments alongside professional ambitions. With a clear focus on inclusivity at every level—from hiring practices through daily interactions—you’ll find yourself part of a community that genuinely cares about your wellbeing both inside & outside work. The scale of operations means there are always fresh challenges (and opportunities) ahead; yet thanks to robust support networks & knowledgeable colleagues these become chances for shared growth rather than sources of stress. If you’re looking for somewhere your expertise will be valued—and where you can make a lasting impact—this is an ideal destination for your next career move.

Due to the high volume of applications, our team will only be in touch if your application is shortlisted.
