About the HR Director Role:
In this role, you will serve as a key strategic business partner to the regional leadership teams, providing expertise and guidance on talent and culture matters, which includes talent management, workforce planning, employee relations, and organisational development to drive business success.

Collaborate closely with senior leadership to align talent and culture initiatives with business goals and operational needs
Drive performance management initiatives, ensuring that performance goals are clear, feedback is constructive, and continuous improvement is encouraged
Work with regional leaders to develop talent through performance management processes and foster a culture of accountability and recognition
Oversee and support the talent acquisition and retention strategies for the Asia region, working closely with local T&C teams, Centres of Excellence and external partner
Implement best practices to attract, select, onboard, and retain top talent aligned with the company's culture and values, to ensure the organisation has the right talent to meet its current and future business needs
Handling employee relations matters and providing support to managers in resolving workplace issues. This includes addressing conflicts, conducting investigations, and promoting a positive and inclusive work culture
Ensure compliance with local labour laws and company policies related to talent management, and work with legal and T&C teams to develop and implement policies and procedures that reflect best practices in talent and culture management in each region.
Champion the company's culture across all hotel operations in the Asia region, ensuring that it reflects the organisation's values, mission, and vision
Partner with local leaders to create an inclusive and engaging work environment where employees can thrive and feel valued
Collaborate with the Centre of Excellence and corporate headquarters to execute leadership development programs within the Asia region, to enhance employee skills and competencies
Support the identification and development of high-potential talent, succession planning, and coaching for senior leaders
Provide guidance and support to regional leaders on change management initiatives, including organisational restructuring, culture transformation, and other change-related projects
Facilitate the successful implementation of change initiatives through effective communication and support mechanisms
Implement strategies to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and well-being across all hotel properties in the Asia region, as well as to keep employees informed about organisational developments, changes, and new initiatives
Leverage employee feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and lead initiatives to address employee concerns. Guide and mentor leaders to create meaningful actions and ensure continuous follow up and enhancement
Implement programs to promote diversity and inclusion within the organisation, fostering an environment where individuals from diverse backgrounds feel supported and empowered
Collaborate with local teams to ensure that diversity and inclusion are integrated into all talent and culture programs
Enforce consistency through technology to enhance T&C processes and systems. This may involve the integration of HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and other technological solutions to streamline T&C functions
Utilising HR metrics and data analytics provided by the Centre of Excellence to assess the effectiveness of T&C programs and initiatives. You may use data to identify trends, measure key performance indicators, and make data-driven recommendations for improvements
To succeed in this role, you must have good communication skills in English.
Bachelor degree in Human Resources Business Administration, Organisational Psychology, or related field
10 years of experience in progressive T&C roles, with at least five years in a leadership position focusing on talent management and organisational development
Proven track record of successfully partnering with senior leaders and providing strategic guidance on talent and culture initiatives
Strong knowledge of talent acquisition, employee relations, leadership development, performance management, and diversity and inclusion best practices
Experience working in a global or multi-cultural environment, with a deep understanding of the unique talent and cultural dynamics in the Asia region
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
Ability to navigate complex organisational structures, work collaboratively with diverse teams, and drive change in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Demonstrated ability to lead and execute people initiatives in line with corporate strategies and objectives, while balancing local needs and regional nuances
