Our client is seeking a dedicated Operations Manager and Cafe specialist to join their team in Bangkok. This role offers an exciting opportunity to utilise your expertise in retail operations and coffee knowledge to drive business growth. You will be responsible for ensuring all outlets operate according to the highest standards, managing store expenses within budget, and training staff to deliver exceptional results. Your ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and work under pressure will be key to your success in this role.

What you'll do:


As an Operations Manager and Cafe specialist, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our client's outlets. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring that all outlets operate according to the highest standards. This includes working closely with coffee suppliers, roasters, and internal teams to source products. You will also manage various aspects of the stores' operations from stock management to manpower planning. Your strong leadership skills will be crucial as you train and coach the store manager and support staff to deliver exceptional results. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with teams across the organisation to ensure alignment and drive business growth.


* Ensure all outlets operate in accordance with operating standards
* Work closely with coffee suppliers, roasters, and internal teams to source products
* Set up service procedures including communication, product knowledge, customer complaint handling and feedback collection
* Manage store COGs (stock management, inventory level, shelf life, variance), COL (manpower, incentive target) and other operating expenses within budget
* Train and coach store manager and support staff to deliver exceptional results
* Assess and identify store weaknesses and strengths and set up plans for improvement
* Analyse PnL reports, sales mix, evaluate performances and identify issues together with store staffs for effective store management e.g. raw materials, workflow, customer complaints
* Collaborate closely with teams to ensure alignment and drive business growth
* Discuss concerned issues e.g. document process, store traffic with team and related parties to find solutions and improve working processes
* Ensure that crisis management system is followed as required to maintain efficient operations


What you bring:


The ideal candidate for the Operations Manager and Cafe specialist role brings a wealth of experience in retail operations, particularly within established cafés or restaurants. You are fluent in both Thai and English, and have a deep understanding of coffee varieties, origins, and brewing methods. Your proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, enables you to effectively analyse reports and make presentations. Your ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and stay organised will be key to managing various aspects of store operations. With your solid leadership skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you inspire your team to deliver exceptional results. Your strong work ethic, ability to operate under pressure, and proactive nature demonstrate your commitment to achieving goals. Lastly, you hold a food handler’s license and are well-versed in food health and safety regulations.


* Minimum 5 years of experience in retail operation in established café or restaurants
* Fluent communication in Thai and English
* Knowledge on coffee varieties, origins, and brewing methods
* Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Power Point
* Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks and stay organized
* Solid leadership skills with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong work ethic
* Ability to operate under pressure
* Proactive nature, Goal-oriented
* Must have a food handler’s license and be aware of regulations concerning food health and safety
