What you'll do:
As Medical Director - Primary Care Clinic, you will be entrusted with guiding the clinical vision of a thriving multi-specialty practice. Your day-to-day will involve close supervision of all clinical functions—ensuring regulatory compliance while nurturing an environment where teamwork flourishes among doctors, nurses, and physical therapists. You will play an instrumental role in developing robust procedures that underpin safe, effective patient care. By engaging in high-level strategic discussions with executive leadership, you will help steer the direction of medical services offered. Your analytical skills will be put to use as you assess performance metrics and recommend improvements. Beyond clinical oversight, you will collaborate across departments on impactful projects like large-scale health screenings or vaccination drives. You’ll also have opportunities to share your knowledge through public engagement—whether writing articles or speaking at events—while maintaining hands-on involvement in patient consultations both onsite and remotely. This position offers a unique blend of leadership responsibility, operational influence, community engagement, and direct patient interaction.
- Supervise all aspects of clinical operations to ensure full compliance with relevant regulations and uphold the highest medical standards across every department.
- Oversee the ongoing development and management of multidisciplinary medical staff teams, fostering collaboration among doctors, nurses, and physical therapists to deliver integrated patient care.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design and implement strategic approaches that enhance the quality and scope of medical services provided by the clinic.
- Develop comprehensive standard operating procedures (SOPs) and detailed work instructions (WIs) that guide daily clinical activities and promote consistency in service delivery.
- Participate actively in executive-level meetings to identify emerging trends in healthcare delivery and explore innovative avenues for continuous improvement within the clinic.
- Prepare detailed reports on clinic performance, analyse operational data, and propose actionable solutions to address challenges or optimise processes.
- Support cross-departmental projects by working closely with Operations, Sales, IT, and other teams on initiatives such as annual health check-ups (both onsite and mobile), group vaccination campaigns, and related activities.
- Contribute to advertising and public relations efforts by authoring promotional articles, participating in media content creation (including still photography and video), delivering academic talks, sharing expertise via social media channels, and representing the clinic at seminars or conferences as needed.
- Provide direct patient care through examinations at the clinic as well as online consultations via Telemedicine platforms, always adhering to established medical protocols.
- Undertake additional responsibilities related to overall company or clinic operations as assigned by senior management.
What you bring:
To excel as Medical Director in this setting, your background should reflect substantial experience not only in direct patient care but also in leading diverse teams within complex healthcare environments. Your interpersonal skills will allow you to build trust among staff members from various disciplines while encouraging open communication. A deep understanding of regulatory frameworks governing Thai medical facilities is essential for ensuring compliance at every level. You should be adept at designing clear procedural guidelines that streamline workflows without compromising safety or quality. Experience collaborating on cross-functional projects—especially those involving public health campaigns or digital transformation—will be highly valued. Your ability to communicate complex concepts clearly makes you an effective spokesperson for both internal training sessions and external outreach efforts. Above all else, your dedication to empathetic patient care sets you apart as someone who can inspire confidence among patients while supporting their journey toward better health outcomes.
- A minimum of ten years’ combined experience in both medical practice and healthcare management roles within reputable institutions.
- Eligibility to serve as an official administrator for a licensed medical facility in Thailand (ability to consent as facility administrator).
- Exceptional communication abilities that enable you to foster positive relationships with colleagues across all levels of the organisation.
- Demonstrated skill in managing multidisciplinary teams—including doctors, nurses, physical therapists—and promoting collaborative problem-solving.
- Proven track record in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) that enhance efficiency while maintaining strict adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Experience participating in executive-level decision-making processes focused on service development or operational improvement within healthcare settings.
- Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in preparing comprehensive reports on clinical performance metrics and recommending practical solutions for optimisation.
- Comfortable supporting non-clinical departments such as Operations or IT on special projects related to public health outreach or business development initiatives.
- Ability to represent the clinic publicly through written articles, media appearances, academic presentations, or social media engagement aimed at educating patients or peers.
- Commitment to providing compassionate patient care during both face-to-face consultations at the clinic and remote sessions via Telemedicine platforms.
