A leading organisation in the entertainment sector is seeking a Strategic Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in shaping its future direction. This opportunity is designed for someone who thrives at the intersection of vision and execution, where your analytical expertise and strategic thinking will directly influence high-level decision-making. You will be empowered to translate complex data into actionable strategies, ensuring that every initiative is grounded in insight and aligned with organisational goals. The company offers an inclusive environment that values collaboration, knowledge sharing, and professional growth, providing you with the platform to make a meaningful impact while developing your career. Flexible working opportunities and ongoing training are part of the culture, supporting your success as you help drive sustainable business outcomes.

  • Be at the heart of strategic planning, using advanced analytics and market insights to guide long-term business decisions and shape the organisation’s competitive edge.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, acting as a bridge between departments to ensure seamless communication and shared purpose across all levels of the business.
  • Enjoy flexible working opportunities and access to continuous learning resources, empowering you to grow professionally while contributing to impactful projects in a supportive environment.

What you'll do:

As a Strategic Business Analyst within the entertainment sector, you will be entrusted with architecting the future direction of the organisation by transforming complex data into actionable strategies. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating with stakeholders across various departments to ensure alignment on key initiatives while conducting thorough market research to identify emerging trends. You will be responsible for monitoring the performance of ongoing projects, adapting plans as necessary to optimise results. By presenting your findings through engaging storytelling techniques, you will empower leadership with clear insights that drive confident decision-making. Success in this role requires not only technical proficiency but also exceptional interpersonal skills and a passion for connecting people around shared goals.

  • Develop comprehensive long-term strategies that transform organisational vision into practical roadmaps, ensuring each plan is both ambitious and achievable.
  • Analyse historical data and real-time metrics to uncover hidden opportunities, providing intelligence-led recommendations that inform critical business decisions.
  • Conduct deep-dive market research including competitive analysis and trend forecasting (SWOT), identifying untapped areas for growth before competitors react.
  • Monitor performance by continuously evaluating key initiatives, rigorously testing effectiveness, and adapting approaches to maintain peak operational health.
  • Facilitate stakeholder alignment by acting as a diplomatic connector between diverse departments, ensuring unified direction from executive leadership to frontline teams.
  • Translate complex data sets into compelling narratives for senior leadership, simplifying intricate information to inspire confident decision-making.
  • Manage key strategic projects from inception through completion, coordinating resources and timelines to ensure successful delivery of high-impact initiatives.
  • Collaborate with finance, marketing, supply chain, and other functions to integrate financial insights into broader business strategies.
  • Champion best practices in project management, fostering a culture of accountability and shared achievement across multiple teams.
  • Support the development of reporting frameworks that provide clear visibility into progress against strategic objectives.

What you bring:

To excel as a Strategic Business Analyst in this entertainment-focused environment, your background should reflect substantial experience in strategic finance roles where you have been instrumental in shaping business outcomes rather than simply reporting on them. Your expertise with modern business intelligence platforms enables you to extract meaningful insights from complex datasets efficiently. You bring not only technical acumen but also an empathetic approach to stakeholder engagement—ensuring that your recommendations resonate across all levels of the organisation. Your educational achievements underscore your commitment to excellence while your communication style inspires confidence and clarity. Adaptability is second nature for you; whether navigating shifting priorities or integrating new technologies into established workflows. Above all else, your collaborative spirit ensures that every project benefits from collective wisdom and shared responsibility.

  • At least seven years’ experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Commercial Finance or Business Controlling roles within FMCG or technology-driven organisations where finance plays an integral role in decision-making processes.
  • Advanced proficiency with Business Intelligence tools such as PowerBI, Tableau or Looker; strong familiarity with large datasets and data extraction methods; SQL knowledge is highly advantageous.
  • Proven ability to challenge assumptions constructively when engaging with senior stakeholders, using evidence-based reasoning to support or question investment decisions.
  • Deep understanding of core business drivers including supply chain dynamics, marketing return on investment (ROI), pricing strategy and overall commercial levers within complex environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics; additional qualifications such as CPA, CFA or MBA are highly regarded for their demonstration of technical rigour.
  • Exceptional analytical storytelling skills—translating quantitative findings into persuasive narratives that influence outcomes at all organisational levels.
  • Outstanding communication abilities with a talent for building rapport across diverse teams and presenting ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated discipline in managing multiple projects simultaneously within environments characterised by ambiguity and rapid change.
  • Agility in adopting new methodologies or technologies when traditional paths are unclear or evolving rapidly within the industry context.
  • A collaborative approach that fosters trust, empathy and mutual respect among colleagues while driving towards shared objectives.
