Our client, a globally respected food manufacturer, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Manager for their external manufacturing operations. This pivotal role will oversee the quality assurance and control processes across all co-manufacturing partners, ensuring that production meets both internal quality standards and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will serve as the key liaison between our client and their external manufacturing partners, driving excellence in food safety and quality.

What you'll do:

In your role as a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager for External Manufacturing, you will be instrumental in maintaining the gold standard of quality that our client is known for. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire spectrum of QA/QC activities across multiple third-party manufacturers. Your expertise in conducting audits, managing vendor quality oversight, handling issue resolution & continuous improvement initiatives will be crucial in this role. Collaborating with various teams such as R&D, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Regulatory will also be part of your day-to-day responsibilities. Your commitment to enhancing the quality culture through training & development initiatives will play a significant role in upholding our client's reputation for excellence.

  • Monitor and manage QA/QC performance of all third-party manufacturers, ensuring compliance with internal standards, food safety protocols, and customer requirements.
  • Plan, execute, and report on supplier audits, including GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards. Follow up on CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
  • Ensure external manufacturing partners implement, maintain, and continually improve quality management systems in line with internal expectations.
  • Approve and manage product specifications, SOPs, batch records, and quality documentation from external vendors.
  • Investigate non-conformances, customer complaints, or deviations in production. Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions with suppliers.
  • Work closely with R&D, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Regulatory teams to support new product introductions and manufacturing transitions at co-packer sites.
  • Provide QA/QC training and mentorship to external partner teams to enhance quality culture and food safety awareness.

What you bring:

As the ideal candidate for the Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager role, you bring a wealth of experience in the food manufacturing industry. Your strong understanding of GMP, HACCP, FSMA and other food safety standards will be invaluable in ensuring compliance across all co-manufacturing partners. Your ability to conduct audits and work with international certifications demonstrates your commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. Your excellent communication and stakeholder management skills will enable you to effectively liaise between our client and their external manufacturers. Your willingness to travel shows your dedication to hands-on quality oversight.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in QA/QC within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of GMP, HACCP, FSMA and other food safety standards.
  • Experience in conducting audits and working with international certifications (e.g., BRC, ISO, FSSC 22000).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Good communication in English
  • Willingness to travel to partner manufacturing sites.
  • Able to work 6 days per week
