Our client is seeking a dedicated and passionate Head of Research and Development to join their team. This role is an integral part of the Research and Development Centre in the region, leading the research and development team for a product category. The successful candidate will drive new product development and reformulation for the category, support packaging development, and partner with stakeholders to build manufacturing capability including OEMs. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a company that values brand integrity, people development, and flexibility.

What you'll do:
As the Head of Research and Development, you will be at the forefront of innovation. You will lead a dedicated team focused on developing new products within the confectionery chocolate & biscuit or ice cream categories. Your role will involve managing formulas, ensuring compliance with regulations, enabling manufacturing capabilities, and establishing production conditions for new products. Your commitment to quality and your ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders will be key to your success in this role.
* Lead Research & Development for a product category such as Confectionery Chocolate & Biscuit, or Ice cream to realise the product development plan of Regional R&D.
* Develop and manage formulas by utilising and exploring raw materials in compliance with related laws and regulatory requirements including Halal.
* Enable product category manufacturing and OEM capabilities, raw materials rationalisation and optimisation.
* Establish manufacturing/production conditions for new/renewal product implementation.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth production processes.
* Ensure all products meet quality standards.
