What you'll do:
As a Regional Supplier Quality Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the quality of our supply base. You will act as a crucial link between various departments such as procurement, local operations, R&D and our suppliers on all matters related to quality. Your responsibilities will include reporting all quality claims to suppliers, following up with structured problem-solving methods, qualifying global suppliers, enhancing supplier quality management processes, classifying and evaluating global suppliers, and developing new and existing suppliers within the region to meet our stringent quality expectations.
- Act as the bridge between procurement, local operations, R&D and our suppliers on all quality-related topics
- Ensure all quality claims are reported to the suppliers and followed-up with structured problem-solving
- Perform supplier qualification for global suppliers
- Enhance supplier quality management processes
- Run the classification and evaluation of global suppliers
- Develop new and existing suppliers within the region to meet the company's quality expectations
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Regional Supplier Quality Manager position brings a wealth of experience in quality management systems and supplier development. You have proven experience using problem-solving methodologies and tools such as 8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa etc., which you can apply effectively across diverse production processes (mechanical and chemical). Your competence in process quality and continuous improvement is matched by your strong moderation, influencing and conflict management skills. You have the ability to articulate the functions and value propositions of SQM clearly. Furthermore, your analytic thinking, project management, communication, interpersonal and intercultural collaboration skills are top-notch.
- Proven knowledge in quality management systems and supplier development
- Experience in problem-solving methodology and tools like 8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa etc.
- Quick comprehension of diverse production processes (mechanical and chemical)
- Competence in process quality and continuous improvement
- Strong moderation, influencing and conflict management skills
