Our client is seeking a highly capable and organised Project Launch Manager (x1 vacancy) to oversee and coordinate the Start of Production (SOP) activities for new car models. This role ensures seamless coordination of materials, suppliers, and internal resources to achieve on-time launches. As the primary liaison between OEMs and internal teams, you will leverage your strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills to drive success.

What you'll do:

As a Project Launch Manager, you will involve meticulous planning, management, and coordination of all aspects of product launch readiness. You will act as a bridge between OEM requirements and internal teams, resolving bottlenecks and aligning priorities. Your leadership skills will come into play as you supervise a small team, delegate tasks, monitor progress, and ensure alignment with launch targets.

  • Plan, manage, and coordinate all aspects of product launch readiness within the company
  • Supervise and guide a small team, delegating tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring alignment with launch targets
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal material planning to ensure timely delivery and adequacy of parts, tools, and consumables required for SOP
  • Collaborate with relevant departments on assembly fee calculations and coordinate on materials consumption tracking
  • Prepare and maintain detailed reports using Excel to track launch readiness and highlight critical issues

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Project Launch Manager position brings a wealth of experience in automotive manufacturing. With a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Industrial Management or a related field under your belt, you have spent over 5 years in the industry with at least 2 years specifically involved in product launch or SOP projects. Your strong understanding of General Assembly processes coupled with excellent English communication skills sets you apart from others. You are proficient in Microsoft Excel for reporting and data analysis. Above all else, your demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing a small team make you the perfect fit for this role.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in automotive manufacturing including 2+ years specific involvement in product launch or SOP projects
  • Strong understanding of General Assembly processes and automotive factory operations
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken)
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting and data analysis
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing a small team
