Our client is seeking Research and Development (R&D) Manager to play a pivotal role in food business. This position offers the opportunity to manage all aspects of design and development of new products, delivering growth over the next years. The successful candidate will focus on activating unique products within core brand experiences, complementing the marketing NPD strategy. This role requires collaboration with various teams, including Commercial, Marketing, and Business Development partners, to develop and execute new products that drive the company's growth strategy.

What you'll do:
As a R&D Manager, you will be responsible for leading your team through complex NPD projects. Your understanding of the entire NPD process will be crucial in generating ideas, screening raw materials, developing prototypes, and evaluating products. You will work closely with various teams such as Marketing, Product Developement, QA/QC, Regulatory Affairs, Procurement, Production, Planning, Cost Control, and external parties to ensure successful project completion.
- Manage and lead the product development process
- Identify opportunities for innovation from a technical expert point of view
- Generate NPD platforms by analysing diverse data sets and research
- Allocate resources effectively and manage project priorities
- Perform prototype development until final product meets consumer needs
- Ensure finished product meets targeted shelf life with technical support
What you bring:
As a Senior R&D Manager, you bring extensive experience in managing R&D processes in the food industry. Your strong leadership skills have been proven in previous roles where you've successfully led teams through complex projects. Your knowledge of food science and technology allows you to understand the intricacies of product development. You are comfortable working with diverse teams and have excellent communication skills in English.
- Bachelor degree or higher in Food Science / Food Technology / Agro-Industry / Product Development or related fields
- 10+ years of experience as an R&D Manager
- Proven leadership experience
- Experience in food manufacturing/industry or similar product categories
- Good command of English
- Knowledge of new product development process / Project Management
- Able to work 6 days per week
