A leading global semiconductor manufacturer in Bangkok is seeking an Engineering Manager - Electronics (x1 vacancy) to champion engineering excellence and drive impactful change across their advanced manufacturing operations. What you'll do:

As an Engineering Manager Electronics based in Bangkok’s thriving technology sector, you will be entrusted with driving transformative change across all facets of semiconductor manufacturing. Your day-to-day activities will involve orchestrating major engineering projects that focus on optimising yields, streamlining processes for maximum efficiency, enhancing product quality standards, and delivering measurable cost savings. You will act as the bridge between customers’ technical needs and internal teams—resolving challenges swiftly while upholding rigorous industry benchmarks.

  • Lead and execute complex engineering projects aimed at improving yield, enhancing equipment efficiency, elevating product quality, and reducing operational costs within semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Serve as the primary technical interface for customers by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, managing complaints, and proposing effective solutions that meet stringent industry standards.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices, engineering standards, and continuous improvement methodologies throughout all stages of production processes.
  • Apply structured problem-solving techniques and advanced quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, and control charts to ensure process stability and superior performance outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Quality Assurance, and other key stakeholders to guarantee compliance with both customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in assembly and packaging processes including die attach, flip chip, SiP, wire bond, and moulding technologies.
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers by sharing knowledge and supporting their professional development through coaching sessions.
  • Lead detailed technical investigations and root cause analyses to identify areas for process innovation or corrective action.
  • Develop and implement innovative process improvements as well as new technologies that advance manufacturing capabilities.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop an engineering team by setting clear performance targets, monitoring progress through regular reviews, and ensuring continuous skill development.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution is required for foundational knowledge in electronics manufacturing.
  • For the technical track: 5–7 years of relevant experience in engineering roles within semiconductor or electronics manufacturing environments is essential.
  • For the managerial track: 7–10 years of engineering experience including proven people or project leadership responsibilities is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of die attach, flip chip assembly processes, system-in-package (SiP), wire bonding techniques, moulding processes as well as related materials and equipment is expected.
  • Excellent analytical skills combined with advanced problem-solving abilities enable you to make data-driven decisions that enhance operational outcomes.
  • Outstanding communication skills are necessary for delivering compelling technical presentations to both internal teams and external customers alike.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide mentorship by guiding junior engineers through complex challenges while supporting their ongoing development.
  • Experience applying structured problem-solving methodologies such as Six Sigma Green Belt certification (preferred) or equivalent quality frameworks is advantageous.
  • Project management certification such as PMP (preferred) or similar credentials demonstrates your capability to manage scope, timelines, resources effectively (managerial track).
  • Awareness of global trends in semiconductor technology coupled with sensitivity towards evolving customer expectations ensures relevance in a competitive market.
