What you'll do:
As an R&D Manager - Food, your primary responsibility will be to lead research and development activities for our client's product portfolios. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, providing technical expertise in R&D, developing recipes to achieve target product quality, and ensuring that all products developed are consistent in quality and comply with standards. Additionally, you will lead technical project risk assessments, conduct product testing, implement products into production scale, and consult with IP representatives regarding patent opportunities.
- Research and develop product portfolios to meet consumer requirements at a regional level
- Provide technical knowledge and act as a functional expert in R&D
- Develop recipes to deliver target product quality based on design briefs
- Ensure consistent product quality that complies with standards and meets all critical success factors
- Lead technical project risk assessments with cross-functional team involvement
- Conduct product testing to ensure performance and implement products into production scale
- Check patent opportunities by consulting with IP representatives
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the R&D Manager - Food role will have a Bachelor's degree or higher in Food Science, Food Engineering, or a related field. They should bring at least 10 years of experience working in a food factory environment, preferably with a background in research and development. A deep understanding of raw material functionality, nutrition, and the product manufacturing process is essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate their ability to apply consumer insights into product design, use logical thinking for troubleshooting and decision making, and show proven experience in conducting and delivering innovation projects.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Food Science, Food Engineering, or related field
- At least 10 years of experience in a food factory, preferably with a background in research and development
- Understanding of raw material functionality, nutrition, and product manufacturing process
- Ability to apply consumer insights into product design
- Logical thinking skills for troubleshooting and decision making
- Proven experience in conducting and delivering innovation projects including implementation activities
- Proficiency in using software and systems for recipe development and project management
- High level of proficiency in English and Thai (listening, reading, writing, speaking)
