VP - Production (Plastic Packaging)
A leading manufacturing organisation in Nakhon Pathom is seeking a VP - Production (x1 vacancy) to oversee and manage all aspects of their extensive manufacturing operations. What you'll do:
As VP-Production, you will play a central role in orchestrating the entire manufacturing operation from resource allocation to final product delivery. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve production operations management, and quality assurance teams to ensure smooth workflow across all production lines.
The package includes base salary + performance bonus + provident fund
- Execute the Master Production Schedule provided by the Supply Chain department by efficiently managing resources such as machinery and personnel to meet production targets.
- Oversee all in-house production activities to maximise operational efficiency and ensure consistent output across diverse product categories.
- Manage relationships with subcontractors to guarantee that outsourced production aligns with established quality standards and delivery timelines.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration between Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Quality departments to resolve any production issues swiftly and ensure 100% plan attainment for on-time delivery.
- Drive improvements in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) while managing total production costs, focusing on waste reduction, labour optimisation, and energy expense control within budgetary constraints.
- Control each stage of the production process meticulously to ensure products meet customer specifications with minimal defects and zero serious quality complaints.
- Analyse production performance data regularly to identify areas for continuous improvement and implement strategies that increase overall productivity.
- Establish robust factory safety policies that promote a 'Safety First' culture throughout the organisation.
- Ensure full compliance with all environmental and safety laws and regulations, aiming for zero lost time incidents through proactive risk management.
- Oversee successful completion of environmental and safety audits while developing systematic skill-building initiatives and succession planning for the production team.
What you bring:
To excel as VP-Production, you will bring substantial experience from senior roles within high-volume industrial manufacturing environments. Your background should include hands-on involvement with advanced production technologies such as plastic injection moulding or film blowing as well as proven success managing subcontractor networks. Your technical expertise will be complemented by strong analytical skills allowing you to interpret complex performance data for continuous process improvement. Equally important are your interpersonal strengths—your ability to collaborate effectively across departments ensures operational harmony while your commitment to nurturing talent supports long-term team development. A deep understanding of safety regulations combined with sound financial acumen rounds out your profile as an ideal candidate for this influential position.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering disciplines such as Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical or Polymer Engineering; an MBA or Master’s degree in Management is highly preferred for strategic oversight.
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience within industrial manufacturing environments with at least 7 years spent in senior executive roles overseeing large-scale production operations.
- Proven track record managing high-volume manufacturing processes with expertise in plastic bags, packaging solutions, plastic injection moulding, film blowing technologies, printing operations or specialised conversion machinery.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex networks of subcontractors and OEM partners while ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
- Advanced proficiency in Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and driving improvements in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Exceptional analytical skills for interpreting production performance data to inform decision-making around process enhancements.
- Strong interpersonal abilities enabling effective collaboration across cross-functional teams including supply chain management, maintenance engineering, and quality assurance.
