What you'll do:

As Plant Manager – Renewable Energy in Ubon Ratchathani, you will play a central role in shaping the operational direction of a large-scale renewable energy, refinery facility. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver safe, efficient production outcomes while creating and developing best practices in process optimisation.

The package includes base salary + allowances + performance bonus

  • Oversee daily refinery energy production activities to ensure output targets are consistently achieved while upholding high standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Implement process optimisation strategies designed to improve yield, minimise waste, and maximise energy efficiency throughout the plant.
  • Ensure rigorous compliance with GMP, ISO, safety protocols, and all relevant regulatory requirements in every aspect of plant operations.
  • Direct engineering and maintenance teams to guarantee maximum equipment reliability and minimal downtime through robust preventive and predictive maintenance programmes.
  • Evaluate and approve capital expenditure projects related to plant upgrades or process improvements that drive long-term operational success.
  • Lead the procurement of cassava raw materials by building dependable supplier networks, monitoring market trends, and optimising logistics for cost-effective sourcing.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement among all plant staff through effective coaching and development initiatives.
  • Work closely with HR to ensure comprehensive manpower planning, training delivery, and adherence to labour laws across all departments.
  • Manage operating (OPEX) and capital (CAPEX) budgets associated with production, engineering, and procurement functions while identifying cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Represent the plant in discussions with local authorities, suppliers, community stakeholders, and corporate executives to promote positive relationships and support strategic projects.

What you bring:

To excel as Plant Manager – Renewable Energy in this forward-thinking organisation, your background should reflect extensive experience managing complex manufacturing or agro-industrial facilities where operational excellence is paramount. Your technical expertise will be complemented by your ability to nurture collaborative relationships—both internally among multidisciplinary teams and externally with suppliers or community partners. A strong understanding of process optimisation techniques combined with practical knowledge of cassava-based refinery energy production will set you apart. Your approach should emphasise empathy when coaching others; sensitivity when navigating compliance issues; dependability when managing budgets; and inclusivity when building team spirit. Fluency in Thai and English is essential for effective communication across all levels. Above all else, your commitment to supporting sustainable practices while delivering measurable results will ensure your success in this influential role.

  • Hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Management or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrate at least 15 years’ experience in large-scale manufacturing or agro-industrial operations with proven responsibility for production management or engineering oversight.
  • Possess deep knowledge of cassava sourcing processes as well as hands-on experience in refinery energy production technologies and process optimisation methodologies.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills including negotiation abilities that enable you to build strong supplier relationships while fostering collaboration within diverse teams.
  • Showcase financial acumen through successful management of substantial operating (OPEX) and procurement budgets within complex industrial environments.
  • Display fluency in both Thai and English languages which allows you to communicate effectively with internal teams as well as external stakeholders such as suppliers or government representatives.
  • Bring experience in implementing preventive maintenance programmes that extend asset life cycles while reducing operational costs across multiple departments.
  • Have a track record of promoting safety-first cultures by ensuring compliance with environmental health & safety regulations at all times.
  • Demonstrate capability in leading people development initiatives including coaching plant leaders in production, engineering or procurement functions for optimal performance.
