What you'll do:
As a Technical Service Specialist based in Bangkok, you will play a pivotal role in empowering distribution partners through tailored training sessions designed to build their confidence in maintaining sophisticated laboratory equipment. Your day-to-day activities will involve responding promptly to complex technical queries from across Southeast Asia—whether remotely or on-site—ensuring seamless installations of new instrument models and resolving any challenges that arise. By acting as the bridge between local operations and global technical teams, you will facilitate knowledge exchange that drives operational excellence. Success in this position hinges on your ability to foster strong partnerships with colleagues from sales, marketing, applications support, and beyond—creating a cohesive network dedicated to outstanding customer outcomes. You will also have the chance to contribute ideas for process improvements that keep the organisation at the forefront of healthcare technology.
- Deliver comprehensive training programmes to distribution partners across Southeast Asia, ensuring they are fully equipped to perform routine and non-routine technical repairs on all assigned systems.
- Provide second line technical service support by diagnosing complex issues, troubleshooting problems, and implementing effective solutions for advanced laboratory instruments.
- Offer direct on-site support to end users when required, particularly during first installations of new models in various countries within the region.
- Act as the primary liaison between local teams and worldwide technical service groups, facilitating clear communication and efficient problem resolution.
- Maintain up-to-date technical competence through hands-on experience with installations, maintenance procedures, updates, retrofits, preventive maintenance tasks, and product enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies by adhering to mandated policies, procedures, work instructions, and accurate record-keeping practices.
