Reliability Engineering Manager - Food Manufacturing

Save job

This role is responsible for driving asset reliability and technical availability across manufacturing operations. Working closely with engineering and maintenance teams, the Reliability Engineering Manager ensures equipment is designed, installed, and maintained to minimize losses, improve stability, and maximize lifecycle value. The position focuses on reliability systems, analytical problem solving, and condition-based maintenance rather than direct people management. This is an individual contributor role, collaborating with engineers and technicians within the maintenance organization.

What you'll do:

  • Partner with engineering during equipment design, installation, and commissioning to minimize reliability risks and ensure stable operational performance.
  • Ensure seamless integration of new assets into existing production lines, focusing on maintainability, fast repair, and controlled equipment deterioration.
  • Establish and continuously improve preventive and condition-based maintenance strategies to sustain asset health and reliability.
  • Lead site-wide asset reliability and analytical problem-solving systems, ensuring effective root cause identification and sustainable issue closure.
  • Drive improvements in technical availability, asset reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness through data-driven analysis.
  • Manage condition monitoring and lubrication programs to reduce planned maintenance time and increase equipment uptime.
  • Assess maintenance technical capabilities, identify skill gaps, and define targeted training requirements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, and finance teams to align reliability initiatives with business and cost objectives.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an engineering role with experience of supervisory or leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in food manufacturing or FMCG environments is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SAP systems is an advantage.
  • Experience with wastewater treatment plants (WWTP) in food factories is desirable.
  • Project management experience related to engineering or reliability initiatives.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Effective communication skills in Thai and English (written, reading, and speaking).

What sets this company apart:

This organisation stands out as a global leader committed to excellence in manufacturing operations. Employees benefit from an inclusive culture that values collaboration, knowledge sharing, and mutual support among colleagues at every level. The company invests heavily in ongoing training programmes designed to enhance technical skills as well as interpersonal abilities. With a strong emphasis on teamwork rather than hierarchy, employees feel empowered to share ideas openly within a supportive network that recognises individual achievements without losing sight of collective goals. The workplace atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and respectful.
