Senior Electronic Engineer

Senior Electrical Engineer Location: Bangkok Salary: Competitive and dependent on experience

An international manufacturing organisation is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its Bangkok operations. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of automation and electrical engineering activities within a high-volume manufacturing environment, working closely with both local and global stakeholders.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, supporting automation projects, and developing technical capability within the engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure machinery reliability and availability through effective preventive maintenance and adherence to design standards

• Lead and support automation and machinery improvement projects across production lines

• Program, troubleshoot, and optimise PLC systems (SIEMENS) to minimise downtime

• Develop and maintain HMI touch panel interfaces for operational efficiency

• Program and support robotic and servo systems within automated manufacturing processes

• Prepare and update electrical and wiring schematics in compliance with safety standards

• Manage spare parts and materials using MES and document management systems

• Conduct quality checks and testing in line with standard work instructions and KPIs

• Coach and support junior engineers, contributing to technical skill development and continuous improvement initiatives

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in PLC programming, with strong knowledge of SIEMENS platforms

• Hands-on experience with robotics and servo systems in an industrial environment

• Experience in HMI development and troubleshooting

• Strong understanding of electrical circuit design and documentation

• Experience managing spare parts and maintenance data via MES or similar systems

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor team members

• Fluency in English, both written and spoken

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet operational deadlines
