Credit Planning - Team Lead

About the role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned professional to take on the role of Head of Credit Planning. This pivotal role is at the heart of our client's operations, focusing on planning credit policy in line with the company's risk appetite and marketing/sales activities. The successful candidate will play a critical part in strategic planning and decision-making in managing credit policies to optimise portfolio quality.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage the overall credit portfolio analysis, focusing on performance metrics, and risk factors.
• Develop and implement portfolio monitoring framework and reporting systems.
• Conduct deep-dive analysis into credit performance, identifying trends, risk, and opportunities.
• Provide recommendations for portfolio optimization and risk mitigation strategies via credit policies.
• Work closely with the Risk Management team to ensure alignment with credit policy, and business strategy.
• Collaborate with Marketing Division to ensure risk appetite preservation in marketing activities.
• Prepare detailed reports, and presentations for Team Head, and regulatory bodies.
• Support the development of credit policies, and review criteria based on portfolio performance.
• Collaborate with other teams to enhance credit processes and systems.
• Strategic role in credit policy planning
• In-depth portfolio analysis and reporting

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business or related field: MBA or master’s degree preferred.
• 7+ years of experience mainly in Non-Bank industry with credit risk, portfolio analysis, or related roles.
• Thorough understanding of risk management practices and financial regulations.
• Basic user in data analysis (i.e. MS office, SQL, Python, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Leadership and team management experience.
