Assistant Relationship Manager

As a Assistant RM, you will assist Relationship Managers in developing long-term, trust-based relationships with clients. Your role involves delivering precise and efficient client and account services, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and the Bank's Code of Conduct. You'll handle client onboarding, investment suitability, and transactional compliance

Key Description:

  • Client Relationship Support: Assist Relationship Managers in nurturing sustainable long-term relationships with clients, emphasizing trust and mutual respect.
  • Professional Client Services: Deliver top-tier client and account administration services, ensuring accuracy and efficiency with timely completion of all administrative tasks.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Conduct business in accordance with regulatory standards and adhere to the Bank’s Code of Conduct, policies, and processes.
  • Maintain Professional Standards: Continuously meet personal 'Fit & Proper' standards and fulfill all industry competence and regulatory requirements.
  • Client Onboarding and Compliance: Uphold the highest standards in client onboarding, investment suitability, and quality of advice. Ensure compliance with banking and trading transactions, client monitoring, account reviews, and documentation of client interactions.
  • Target Achievement: Meet individual targets as outlined in your Balanced Scorecard (BSC) and participate in all relevant meetings and training sessions.
  • Client Understanding: Develop a deep understanding of client profiles and needs to align the company’s offerings with client requirements effectively.
  • Daily Client Servicing: Address the daily servicing needs of all clients, executing transactions promptly, minimizing errors, and preventing complaints or trading errors.
  • Portfolio Recommendations: Advise Relationship Managers on client portfolio opportunities and manage associated costs sensibly and entrepreneurially.
  • Platform Utilization: Responsibly utilize the company’s platform and services (e.g., Investment Services, Wealth Planning, Credit, Trading & Treasury, PBA Portal) to ensure effective resource use.
  • Professional Conduct: Be punctual, manage phone calls, cover lunch duties, and provide backup for other Assistant Relationship Managers during expected and unexpected absences in a professional manner.
  • Training and Mentorship: Train and assist new team members with system navigation and day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Event Support: Assist in organizing and supporting marketing events and functions.
  • Brand Ambassador: Represent the culture and values of the company Group in all client interactions and public behaviors.
  • Continuous Learning: Regularly enhance your skills and knowledge, meeting at least the annual regulatory training requirements, to stay informed about markets, products, and research.
  • Respectful Communication: Maintain respectful interactions with all stakeholders, both internal and external, and demonstrate impeccable behavior in daily business activities.
  • Ad Hoc Tasks: Handle any additional tasks or projects as required or assigned.

Key Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in client servicing, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in banking.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong client relationships.
  • Proficient in using financial platforms and tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying client needs.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
