What you'll do:


As Senior Manager,Product Development, you will be entrusted with shaping the next generation of life insurance solutions. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating with various internal teams such as actuarial, IT, underwriting, claims, communications, and implementation specialists to ensure seamless product launches. You will engage in rigorous market research and data analysis to inform strategic decisions while preparing essential documentation for regulatory approval. By coordinating project delivery across multiple functions and supporting post-launch monitoring efforts, you will help drive continuous improvement in product performance. Success in this role requires a keen understanding of industry trends and customer needs combined with strong interpersonal skills that foster effective teamwork throughout the organisation.


* Lead the development of new life insurance products across all distribution channels, aligning with company strategy and focusing on unique propositions for Unit Linked offerings.
* Conduct thorough market analysis, customer research, and competitive benchmarking to ensure products meet the diverse needs of all customer segments.
* Prepare detailed data sets and research materials to support proposals during actuarial discussions, ensuring robust product concepts are presented.
* Develop and propose innovative product concepts and alternative ideas to the steering committee for strategic review and approval.
* Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams to establish procedures that guarantee smooth implementation of new products prior to launch.
* Create policy contracts, sales illustrations, and simulation sheets required for regulatory filing and system integration, ensuring full compliance with OIC standards.
* Review and assist in delivering comprehensive product materials including functional specifications, training guides, guidelines, and operational procedures for internal stakeholders.
* Lead and manage ad-hoc projects related to product development as assigned by management, demonstrating adaptability in response to emerging business needs.
* Support ongoing analysis of product information and market data for management reporting purposes, distributing insights to relevant departments for informed decision-making.


What you bring:


To excel as Senior Manager, Product Development you will bring a wealth of experience from the life insurance industry along with deep technical knowledge of product design principles. Your background should include hands-on involvement in launching new products across varied distribution channels coupled with an understanding of regulatory requirements. You will demonstrate outstanding interpersonal abilities that enable you to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams while building trust among colleagues. Your analytical mindset will allow you to interpret complex market data accurately so that you can contribute valuable insights during strategic planning sessions. * Degree in Actuarial Science, Marketing, Business Administration or a related discipline is required for this position.
* At least five years of experience in life insurance product development with proven expertise in designing successful offerings.
* Comprehensive knowledge of sales processes and marketing strategies within the life insurance sector is essential.
* Excellent communication skills both written and spoken; ability to present complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
* Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook for preparing reports and presentations.
* Ability to build positive relationships across internal teams such as actuarial, IT, underwriting, claims, communications, and implementation functions.
* Experience liaising with external partners including regulatory bodies (OIC) and reinsurance providers is highly valued.
* Strong analytical skills enabling effective market research and competitive analysis for informed product development decisions.
* Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail under tight deadlines.
