AVP - Product Development (Life Insurance)

This role offers a unique opportunity to provide actuarial expertise in product and business development projects, including generating product ideas, designing products, profit testing, profitability analysis, and evaluating business opportunities. You will also negotiate with reinsurers to secure effective reinsurance schemes and manage reports and statistical analyses. This position is based in the vibrant city of Bangkok.

What you'll do:

• Generate innovative product ideas for individual and group insurance, including specialized accidental and health products
• Design profitable products that meet market demands
• Conduct profit testing to ensure accurate results
• Participate in product implementation processes
• Negotiate with reinsurers to optimize company benefits
• Supervise subordinates to develop their talents and gain practical experience
• Take responsibility for actuarial projects to improve department workflow

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics or related fields
• At least 8 years of experience in the Actuarial field (Product Development) or related fields
• 1 - 3 years of experience as a management team leader would be an advantage
• Strong analytical abilities including mathematics and statistical concepts
• Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills
• Good planning and organizing skills
• Knowledge of data gathering and manipulation techniques such as Access, SQL etc.
• Computer and programming skills (Utilizing the Prophet Model and Microsoft Excel)
• Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English
