Financial Controller

About the Role: Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join their team in Bangkok. This pivotal role will involve overseeing and maintaining the financial control of the company through effective management of finance and accounting operations. You will have the opportunity to enhance internal control frameworks, manage financial risk, and drive process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and control overall accounting and financial operations activities
• Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported
• Oversee financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation
• Lead support team to facilitate auditors and ensure compliance with regulations
• Work with FP&A team to streamline process for management reporting, budgeting, and strategic planning
• Control company expenses within budget
• Assist in systems implementation providing accounting and financial requirements
• Provide risk management oversight and continuous review of finance & accounting standards & policies
• Report timely and accurate financial information to the CFO
• Oversee and maintain financial control
• Manage financial risk and drive process improvements
• Report directly to the Chief Financial Officer

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or master's degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or equivalent mandatory
• 8 years' finance and accounting experience in a business or finance environment
• Experience in "Life insurance" business is preferred at international company with a Home/Asia Office presence
• Ability to lead effectively with an in-depth understanding of accounting and finance knowledge
• Strong leadership skills including analytical problem-solving skills with history of driving impact
• Fluent verbal and written English language skills
