Head of Finance & Accounting (Securities)

An exciting Head of Finance & Accounting (x1 vacancy) job has arisen in a leading financial services firm in Bangkok. The position manages financial strategy, planning, accounting, management accounting, budgeting, tax planning, defines expense policies and internal control procedures.

About the Head of Finance & Accounting Role:

In this business critical role you will be responsible for defining the updated accounting standard of the business , delivering the highest quality of finance and accounting method , principles and policies. You will also take the lead providing direction to all accounting and financial reporting or accounting related activities for the securities. You will enjoy competitive base salary with bonus and provident fund for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare month end closing in the relevant systems, identify differences in local reporting VS group reporting and analyse balance as well as explanations for variances
• Ensure that transactions are properly and correctly booked in terms of classification according to SAS and TAS on a daily basis
• Encompasses daily performance analysis and monthly analysis of costs, balance sheet items, with comparison to budget and previous month, yearly budget, and ad-hoc analysis
• Monitor and report of capital adequacy and regulatory capital requirement
• Prepare statutory accounts as well as tax compliance, computation, and queries
• Compilation of regular and ad-hoc performance measurement reports such as cost analysis and budget process
• Manage external and internal audit
• Review and evaluate new product proposals and identify account booking and tax issue
• Oversee the product and cost control function and have a reasonable knowledge of daily flash P&L, pricing testing and verification, data integrity, trader incentive, expenses, project and new product approval
• Forecast cash flow on a daily basis and prepare proper balance of fund for daily operations
• Monitor and transfer our excess fund to the acceptable financial institutions for the highest return with the target liquidity
• Review cheques issued by the trading system for trading transactions and provide cheques for non-trade transactions
• Follow the clients and issue debit not and tax invoice for all concerned transactions

To succeed in this role, you must have good command of English.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor or master’s degree in accounting and finance or related field
• At least 15 years’ experience in financial services industry preferably in securities business
• At least seven years’ experience managing a team
• CPA license
• Fluent in Thai and English (spoken and written)
• Good interpersonal skill
• Good communication and can work as a team
• Leadership skill
• Ability to work under pressure and tight timeline
• Ability to prioritise, plan and meet the deadline
