Head of Compliance - Digital Assets

A fast-growing digital asset company in Bangkok is seeking a Head of Compliance to lead its regulatory and governance strategy as the business continues to scale within Thailand’s rapidly evolving digital assets and crypto ecosystem.

What you'll do

As Head of Compliance, you will lead the company’s compliance and regulatory engagement strategy while supporting the business as it scales in a dynamic and rapidly evolving market.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead the overall compliance framework and regulatory strategy for the company, ensuring alignment with SEC Thailand and relevant digital asset regulations.
• Act as the primary liaison with regulators and policymakers, building trusted relationships across Thailand’s regulatory ecosystem.
• Provide strategic advice on digital asset products, blockchain initiatives, tokenisation structures, and emerging fintech developments.
• Partner with executive leadership to enable compliant innovation while supporting the company’s rapid growth.
• Monitor and interpret regulatory developments impacting cryptocurrency exchanges, digital asset businesses, and fintech platforms.
• Represent the company in industry forums, regulatory discussions, and policy dialogues related to digital assets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal, product, technology, and business teams to embed compliance into business operations.
• Provide guidance on cross-border regulatory considerations as the company expands its digital asset footprint.

What you bring

This role requires a strategic compliance leader with strong stakeholder management skills who can operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

You will likely bring:

• At least 10 years of experience in compliance, regulatory advisory, or regulatory compliance within financial services, fintech, or digital asset businesses.
• Strong understanding of Thai financial regulations and digital asset regulatory frameworks.
• Experience engaging directly with regulators, policymakers, or industry associations.
• Exposure to cryptocurrency, blockchain, tokenisation, or fintech platforms is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to operate in agile, fast-moving organisations where regulatory clarity may evolve quickly.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership.
• Strategic thinking and the ability to balance innovation with strong risk and compliance governance.
• Legal qualifications or Thai Bar membership would be advantageous but are not mandatory.
• Thai nationality is required in line with regulatory expectations for this position.
