What you'll do:
As Assistant Vice President Head of Fraud Investigations based in Bangkok, you will play a central role in protecting the organisation’s reputation by leading all aspects of fraud investigation across life insurance operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve managing complex cases from inception through resolution while ensuring that investigative processes adhere to rigorous forensic accounting standards. You will collaborate extensively with legal counsel, senior executives, department heads, and your own team to develop effective frameworks for compliance quality assurance. By designing robust sales compliance programmes and regularly updating risk management protocols, you will help prevent misconduct before it occurs. Your ability to prepare clear reports for executive committees will be crucial in driving informed decision-making at the highest levels. Success in this role requires not only technical proficiency but also a commitment to fostering a culture of integrity throughout the organisation.
- Lead and manage all internal and external fraud investigations related to insurance operations, overseeing every stage from initial assessment through final resolution.
- Establish, refine, and maintain investigation frameworks, procedures, and standard operating protocols that align with forensic accounting standards and industry best practices.
- Supervise the Compliance Quality Assurance team, coordinating efforts with heads of departments to ensure thorough review and approval of QA and investigation reports.
- Design, implement, and monitor a comprehensive Sales Compliance Programme aimed at preventing mis-selling, misconduct, and fraudulent activity within sales channels.
- Regularly review and update the Compliance Manual as well as investigation procedures to ensure alignment with evolving regulatory requirements and risk management strategies.
- Prepare detailed fraud investigation, compliance, and assurance reports for presentation to key committees including Risk Committee, Audit Committee, and Executive Committee.
- Develop and execute an annual plan for Compliance and Fraud Investigation activities, leading the annual Fraud Risk Assessment process across all business units.
- Serve as the primary advisor on matters relating to fraud risk, forensic accounting methodologies, and regulatory compliance for business units throughout the organisation.
- Partner with General Counsel and senior management to provide expert guidance on complex cases involving financial crime or regulatory breaches.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives within the fraud investigations function by identifying opportunities for enhanced efficiency, accuracy, and collaboration.

- Demonstrated expertise in forensic accounting or external auditing practices with hands-on exposure to investigative accounting techniques is highly desirable.
- Comprehensive understanding of life insurance regulations, operational processes, and industry-specific compliance standards is necessary for success.
- Exceptional English communication skills are needed for preparing high-quality reports and engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to manage teams with empathy while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in sensitive situations is expected.
