Compliance Specialist

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Compliance Specialist to join their team in Bangkok. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in compliance, particularly in the banking and securities sectors, who has experience interacting with regulatory bodies such as the SET (Securities Exchange of Thailand) and SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission). As a Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day compliance activities for the business, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, and working across teams to implement cross-functional initiatives.

What you'll do:

• Manage the daily operations of compliance matters for the business in Thailand.
• Liaise with regulators (SET, SEC) on issues related to brokerage and securities.
• Provide guidance on compliance matters to key stakeholders across the organization.
• Coordinate and lead Department Head meetings, ensuring compliance issues are discussed and addressed.
• Handle compliance administrative tasks, including reporting, ensuring filings are submitted on time, and managing documentation.
• Monitor and report on changes in regulations that impact the business and the industry.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders across regions to ensure global and local compliance framework requirements are met.
• Assist in the development and implementation of compliance policies, procedures, and monitoring plans.

What you bring:

• 3-8 years of experience in compliance, with specific exposure to banking and securities sectors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BBA), Law, or a related field.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with workflow automation and technology-based compliance solutions is a plus.
• Experience in regulator interactions.
