Commercial Finance Manager

What you'll do:
- Act as a strategic finance partner for designated regions, delivering insightful analysis and recommendations to support brand and channel strategies.
- Collaborate with commercial teams to track performance against key metrics, identify trends, and develop strategies to enhance outcomes aligned with marketing and business priorities.
- Design investment frameworks that balance financial targets with overall business objectives, focusing on pricing strategies and trade plan optimisation.
- Assess the ROI for key initiatives such as promotions, advertising campaigns, and product launches by developing detailed business cases.
- Monitor pre- and post-launch performance of new products to ensure expected returns are achieved, working with relevant teams to implement continuous improvement measures.
- Analyse profitability by channel and customer, as well as cost-to-serve metrics, to recommend enhancements in trade terms and improve margin efficiency.
- Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor key financial indicators such as margins, trade spend efficiency, promotion effectiveness, and cost control across various expense categories.
- Lead quarterly forecasting processes using driver-based models that incorporate market trends, scenario analysis, and operational inputs; collaborate with regional managers to ensure accuracy.
- Support annual budgeting cycles and long-term planning processes by integrating operational data with strategic objectives for multiple markets.
- Conduct monthly variance analyses comparing actual results against budgeted figures across key metrics
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field is required; an MBA or recognised professional certification such as CPA is highly desirable.
- At least 10 years’ experience in financial planning & analysis or business partnering roles within consumer markets is a plus.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is mandatory
- Expertise in stakeholder influence—building relationships across functions to drive consensus on complex issues—is vital.
- Familiarity with Power BI or similar data visualisation tools would be considered a plus.
