Financial Controller

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller to join a globally recognised organisation in Bangkok, conveniently located near BTS and MRT. As part of an esteemed finance department known for its excellence and collaborative spirit across the APAC region, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial oversight and regulatory compliance.

What you'll do:

• Oversee all financial operations within the country, ensuring accurate compliance with local accounting standards and international reporting frameworks (e.g., IFRS).
• Ensure adherence to tax regulations and statutory requirements by preparing and filing annual financial statements in accordance with local laws.
• Act as the primary liaison for audits, inspections, and regulatory reporting activities, coordinating effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Manage country-specific financial tasks such as government-related processes, investment incentives, and treasury operations to optimise overall financial outcomes.
• Maintain robust internal control standards by providing expertise on finance-related projects (M&A and system implementations)
• Lead process improvement initiatives, fostering collaboration between shared services teams and local departments.
• Offer strategic financial guidance by considering broader societal and environmental impacts when making critical decisions that affect organisational performance.
• Encourage knowledge sharing across regional finance teams to ensure alignment with global objectives and drive continuous improvement

What you bring:

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA is a plus)
• Demonstrated experience in managing financial reporting under both local GAAP and IFRS standards within a multinational or large-scale corporate environment is essential for this position.
• Minimum 10 years experience in finance, accounting, or related roles, preferably within multinational organisations.
• Strong knowledge of local GAAP, IFRS standards, tax regulations, and statutory compliance requirements.
• Proven fluency in English, both written and spoken; additional language skills are a plus.
