Financial Controller

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly organised and pragmatic Financial Controller to join a leading global manufacturer. What you'll do:

• Lead and oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
• Develop, manage, and analyze comprehensive budgets and forecasts to support strategic planning and decision-making
• Conduct thorough financial analysis, including variance analysis and trend identification, to provide insights and recommendations to senior management
• Collaborate with department heads to prepare detailed cost center reports and present findings to local management to drive financial performance
• Monitor and update product costings, including new product implementations, and ensure standard costs are accurately maintained across the organization
• Foster collaboration with local, regional, and group controlling teams to ensure cohesive financial operations
• Ensure compliance with the company's accounting policies and procedures, maintaining robust financial controls
• Drive working capital improvements including cash collection and inventory management
• Intercompany month end reconciliation

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is a plus
• Proven ability to influence and effectively interact with senior management and cross-functional teams
• Strong numerical and analytical skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial software and ERP systems is advantageous
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and concisely
• Highly organized with a structured approach to managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
