A luxury retailer is seeking an Assistant Accounting Manager (x1 vacancy) to join their business in Bangkok. What you'll do:
As an Assistant Accounting Manager for a Luxury Retailer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of our client's rapidly expanding business. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing monthly management reports, improving accounting processes, submitting statutory returns, and coordinating with other departments. You will also be involved in exciting upcoming projects related to finance activities. Your ability to collaborate effectively with various internal departments will be crucial in meeting project objectives. - Prepare and review monthly management and financial reports in compliance with group finance operating guidelines
- Provide support and initiatives to improve accounting processes, procedures and internal control
- Review and submit various statutory returns to the Revenue Department on a timely basis
- Coordinate internally with other departments on assigned topics such as VAT audit
- Accountable for coordinating and implementing all upcoming projects related to finance activities
- Represent finance on a cross-functional integration team with strong influence to ensure that they incorporate finance requirements into upcoming projects
- Assist with UAT testing and monitor the finance related impacts post-launch
- Collaborate with various internal departments to meet team’s/project’s objectives
- Provide advice on accounting treatments for upcoming projects upon request
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Assistant Accounting Manager position brings a wealth of experience in accounting roles along with a strong academic background in accountancy. You are well-versed in SAP and possess excellent analytical abilities. Your organisational and problem-solving skills are top-notch, and you communicate effectively. You are mature, committed, and results-oriented, with the ability to handle a matrix environment with multiple stakeholders. A good command of English and an understanding of local tax regulations will be advantageous in this role.
- 5-10 years of direct experience in an accounting role
- Strong background in Accountancy: Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or a professional accounting qualification (CPA and/or CPD)
- Strong knowledge of SAP
- Analytical, organised, with strong problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills
- Mature, sense of commitment, initiative, logical, results oriented personality
- Ability to handle matrix environment with multiple stakeholders
- Good command of both written and spoken English
- Understanding of local tax regulations and tax authorities is advantageous
