Our client is seeking an experienced Regional Controller to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial performance of a major business unit within the Asia Pacific region. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including Subsidiary Business Unit heads and Finance and Admin heads, to deliver insightful financial analysis and drive profitability and revenue growth.
What you'll do:
As a Regional Controller, your role will be pivotal in driving the financial performance of our client's main business unit within the Asia Pacific region. You will be working closely with various stakeholders, including Subsidiary Business Unit heads and Finance and Admin heads, to deliver insightful financial analysis that informs strategic decision-making. Your expertise in SAP ERP/ SAP B1 will be crucial in implementing sales and margin analysis for Asia Pacific subsidiaries. Additionally, you will be responsible for delivering region OPEX analysis, monitoring Order Backlog, maintaining a visualised dashboard for the region in POWER BI, and creating detailed Excel-based financial models.
- Contribute to driving and delivering main business unit financial performance
- Act as a financial business partner with Subsidiary Business Unit head
- Collaborate with subsidiaries Finance and Admin head for delivering financial performance and insightful analysis
- Work with Group and Corporate controller in Germany to deliver regional and group result
- Implement sales and margin analysis for Asia Pacific subsidiaries in SAP ERP/ SAP B1
- Deliver region OPEX analysis
- Monitor and analyse Order Backlog
- Maintain and develop visualise dashboard for region in POWER BI
- Create detailed Excel-based financial models and business cases
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Regional Controller position brings a wealth of experience in finance or accounting along with a strong academic background in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Engineering plus MBA/ Finance. With up to five years of experience as a Business Controller, you have developed a deep understanding of accounting standards and internal control processes. Your auditor background would be an added advantage. Your strong knowledge in Excel and Power BI is essential for this role, and familiarity with SAP (ERP/B1) would be beneficial. Excellent English communication skills are a must as you will be liaising with teams across multiple countries.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Engineering plus MBA/ Finance
- Up to five years of experience as a Business Controller
- Knowledge of Accounting standards and internal control processes and procedures
- Auditor background is advantageous
- Very high attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong knowledge in Excel and Power BI is mandatory
- SAP knowledge is an advantage (ERP/B1)
- Excellent English communication skills
