Robert Walters Thailand is recruiting a General Ledger Accountant for a reputable multinational company in the professional services industry, based in Bangkok.

The General Ledger Accountant will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and supporting audit and tax processes. This role requires strong technical accounting knowledge and the ability to work in a structured multinational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full set accounting and general ledger activities
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries in the accounting system
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliation
• Lead month end closing and year end closing processes
• Prepare monthly management reports and financial analysis
• Handle intercompany reconciliation and group reporting submissions
• Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register on a quarterly basis
• Reconcile tax accounts including VAT input, VAT output, and withholding tax
• Support tax filing documentation and statutory submissions
• Liaise with external auditors and support annual audit requirements
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities when required
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and other departments to ensure compliance with finance policies and procedures
• Support continuous improvement of accounting processes and internal controls

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a General Ledger Accountant or in full set accounting
• Strong understanding of accounting standards and financial reporting principles
• Experience in a multinational company or international reporting environment is preferred
• Big 4 audit experience is an advantage
• Good command of English, both written and spoken
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines
• Proactive, organised, and able to work effectively in a fast paced environment
