Accounting Lead

An excellent Accounting Lead (x1 vacancy) job in Bangkok has just become available at one the global leading pharmaceutical companies. The role requires understanding of complex accounting matters, quick problem-solving skills and strong collaboration with other finance and non-finance teams.

About the Accounting Lead Role:

Bases in Bangkok, direct reporting to SEA Controller in Singapore. you will be responsible for managing the accounting team for 2 locations - Commercial Office in Bangkok and manufacturing side in Eastern Seaborad, Thailand.

The package for this role includes base salary + guaranteed bonus + provident fund.

Key Responsibilities:

• Key point of contact between shared services, commercial and operations teams
• Support monthly/quarterly/annual close processes
• Coordinate statutory audit, prepare and review financial statements and other statutory reporting
• Preparation of tax returns and ensure tax compliance including tax audits and face to face interaction with tax authorities to drive favourable outcomes
• Drive automation opportunities and simplification initiatives
• Support regional and global reporting requirements such as monthly balance sheet & P&L fluctuation analysis
• Ensure adherence of processes to company's policies and procedures, internal and external audit requirements and local rules and regulations; support strengthening of financial processes and controls
• Build and manage high performing teams with focus on engagement and talent development
• Support local, regional, and global projects, as required
• Maintain focus on continuous process improvement opportunities

The successful candidate must possess at least 8 years of experiences in full loop accounting area and have the ability to work independently.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor of Accounting. Must obtain CPD license
• CPA license is preferable (but not mandatory)
• Experience in JDE, Blackline, and W-Desk is an advantage
• Five years of relevant accounting professional experience with international firms
• Proven experience in a multinational commercial environment and/or audit, manufacturing experience will be an advantage
• Good knowledge of US GAAP, local GAAP and Thai corporate income tax
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, diplomatic, flexible and “can do” mind-set
• Fluent in both written and spoken English and native Thai speaker
• Strong reporting tools including MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Requires travel between Commercial office in Bangkok and Plant in Rayong
