Accounting Manager (Retail)

Robert Walters Thailand is recruiting a Commercial Finance & Accounting Manager for a growing consumer business based in Bangkok. This Commercial Finance & Accounting Manager must have a Big 4 background and will lead full spectrum accounting, financial control, and commercial finance strategy. The role offers strong leadership exposure and direct business partnering with senior management. Immediate availability is a plus.

About the Role

This Finance & Accounting Manager position is a senior finance leadership role within a dynamic consumer industry organisation in Bangkok. The Commercial Finance & Accounting Manager will oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and strategic financial planning.

A Big 4 background is mandatory for this role. Candidates without external audit experience from a Big 4 firm will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Business Partnering

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Deliver financial analysis to identify risks, cost optimisation, and profitability drivers
• Support senior management with strategic decision making
• Develop financial models to support expansion and investment initiatives

Finance Management

• Oversee cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning
• Manage banking relationships and financing facilities
• Supervise credit control and working capital management
• Strengthen internal control frameworks and risk mitigation processes

Accounting & Compliance

• Manage full loop accounting and month end closing
• Ensure accurate and timely financial statements
• Oversee tax compliance and statutory reporting
• Coordinate annual audit process with external auditors
• Supervise cost accounting and fixed asset management

Leadership

• Lead and develop the finance and accounting team
• Improve reporting processes and system efficiency
• Drive accountability and high performance culture

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
• Big 4 audit background is mandatory
• CPA is strongly preferred
• Minimum 7 years experience in accounting and finance
• Experience in retail or consumer industry is advantageous
• Strong ERP knowledge
• Advanced Excel or BI tools capability
• Strong analytical and commercial mindset
• Able to operate in a fast growing business environment
• Immediately available candidates will be prioritised
