Team Head of Finance

A leading multinational consumer brand is seeking a Team Head Finance to lead the full finance function for its Thailand operation in Bangkok. This role oversees financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, cash flow and business partnering, while working closely with country and regional leadership. Ideal for Big 4 trained finance professionals with retail or FMCG exposure who are ready to step into a strategic leadership role.

Robert Walters Thailand is partnering with an established global organisation to appoint a Team Head Finance based in Bangkok. This position will take ownership of the entire finance operation and act as a key advisor to the Country Head and Regional Finance Director.

You will ensure financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and provide forward looking insights to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting and Compliance

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual closing in line with corporate timelines

• Ensure accurate and timely management reporting with detailed variance analysis

• Oversee statutory reporting and ensure compliance with Thai accounting and tax regulations

• Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, banking partners and legal advisors

• Establish and maintain strong internal controls and finance policies

Budgeting and Forecasting

• Drive annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes

• Consolidate business unit inputs and provide financial analysis

• Monitor cost performance and highlight key deviations to management

• Manage and update cash flow projections

Business Partnering and Commercial Finance

• Develop financial models and scenario analysis to support strategic decisions

• Provide insights across channels, customers and product categories

• Support leadership with financial evaluation of new initiatives

• Improve reporting tools, controlling processes and system efficiency

Team Leadership

• Build, lead and develop the local finance team

• Strengthen operational workflows and accountability

• Ensure high performance standards within the finance function

Key Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance

• CPD required, CPA preferred

• 7 to 10 years of finance or accounting experience

• Minimum 3 years training in Big 4 audit is highly preferred

• Background in retail, consumer, fashion or FMCG industry is advantageous

• Strong knowledge of SAP and financial reporting systems

• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

• Fluent English communication
