Our client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Assistant Accounting Manager to join their team in Bangkok. This role offers an exciting opportunity to supervise a team, prepare and review financial reports, and act as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders. The successful candidate will also be involved in process improvement initiatives, change management plans, and upcoming finance-related projects.
What you'll do:
As an Assistant Accounting Manager, your role will be multifaceted. You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing monthly management and financial reports, ensuring they comply with group finance operating guidelines. Your excellent communication skills will be put to use as you act as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to process improvement initiatives, developing and leading change management plans that support organizational transformations. Furthermore, you will coordinate and implement all upcoming projects related to finance activities.
- Prepare and review monthly management and financial reports in compliance with group finance operating guidelines.
- Submit various statutory returns to the Revenue Department on a timely basis.
- Act as primary point of contact for external stakeholders such as auditors.
- Provide support and initiatives to improve accounting processes and procedures.
- Develop and lead change management plans to support organizational transformations.
- Design, develop, and deliver engaging finance training programs tailored to non-finance staff across the organization.
- Coordinate and implement all upcoming projects related to finance activities.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Assistant Accounting Manager position brings a wealth of experience in accounting roles. at least 5 years of direct experience under your belt, you are well-versed in the intricacies of accountancy. Your strong knowledge of SAP sets you apart from others. Your analytical mindset coupled with your organisational skills makes you an effective leader who can coach your team towards success. Your excellent command over English allows you to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
- 5-10 years of direct experience in an accounting role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or a professional accounting qualification (CPA and/or CPD).
- Strong knowledge of SAP.
- Analytical, organized, initiative, leadership skill, coaching skill, strong problem-solving skill.
- Good command of both written and spoken English.
- Understanding of local tax regulations and tax authorities is advantageous.
