Accounting Director

A leading organisation based in Bangkok near BTS/MRT is seeking an Accounting Director who will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial integrity and compliance of the business. This position offers you the opportunity to work closely with various departments, ensuring that all accounting operations are executed with precision and in accordance with regulatory standards.

What you'll do:

• Oversee, review, and provide guidance on tax invoices for both input VAT and output VAT to ensure full compliance with the Revenue Department's regulations during tax filing periods.
• Participate actively in meetings with relevant departments to resolve issues efficiently and propose well-considered plans related to the accounting function.
• Act as the primary executor for projects within the accounting department, managing assigned tasks both internally and externally with care and attention to detail.
• Review and approve payment details, invoices, and billing documents from vendors before coordinating further actions with the finance department.
• Audit, review, and reconcile control accounts, accounts receivable, and accounts payable prepared by accounting staff to maintain accuracy and transparency.
• Establish principles, procedures, and accounting policies, presenting them in meetings with relevant departments for effective implementation across the organisation.
• Supervise and verify the accuracy of general ledger accounts such as accrued income or advance payments to ensure reliable financial reporting.
• Manage team members within the department to guarantee timely recording of transactions, account closures, and preparation of comprehensive financial statements.
• Review and verify VAT reports, withholding tax summaries, and other related reports to ensure they are prepared accurately and submitted within deadlines set by authorities.
• Provide advice and recommendations on accounting methods for all systems used internally or externally to enhance operational efficiency.

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting is required for this position.
• At least 10 years of proven experience in accounting roles.
• Experience using ERP systems such as SAP or similar accounting software is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated skill in auditing, reviewing control accounts, reconciling accounts receivable/payable prepared by staff members.
• Experience supervising teams within an accounting department including mentoring staff towards successful account closures.
• Excellent organisational skills allowing you to coordinate seamlessly with auditors, government agencies or other stakeholders.
