A prestigious hospitality client is seeking a Director of Finance (x1 vacancy) Hospitality to join their serene and centrally located luxury resort in Bangkok. As Director of Finance Hospitality, you will be entrusted with safeguarding the hotel’s financial health while supporting its mission to deliver outstanding guest experiences. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve close collaboration with senior leadership as you guide strategic planning efforts through insightful analysis and transparent communication.

The package includes base salary + performance bonus

  • Oversee all aspects of financial operations including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate closely with the Executive Committee to provide strategic guidance on financial matters that influence long-term business performance.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust financial controls, policies, and processes that support operational efficiency and effective cost management.
  • Act as the primary financial partner to the owning company by delivering transparent insights, clear communication, and actionable recommendations for informed decision-making.
  • Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements while ensuring timely submission of all statutory reports.
  • Monitor cash flow management and optimise working capital through prudent oversight of receivables, payables, and inventory.
  • Support departmental heads with budget preparation and ongoing variance analysis to drive accountability across all areas of the resort.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, accounting standards, and internal audit requirements through diligent review processes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and champion initiatives that enhance overall financial performance.
  • Mentor and develop finance team members by fostering a collaborative culture focused on continuous learning.

What you bring:

Your extensive background in hospitality finance equips you with the technical acumen needed for this Director of Finance Hospitality position. You bring proven experience overseeing large-scale operations within luxury hotels or resorts where accuracy, compliance, and transparency are paramount. Your fluency in English and Thai ensures seamless interaction with colleagues from various backgrounds while your meticulous nature supports robust control environments. You have demonstrated success guiding teams through change by championing process improvements that yield measurable results.   • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or a related field is required; CPA or equivalent certification is highly regarded.
  • At least 10 years’ progressive experience in hotel or hospitality finance with a minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership capacity is essential.
  • Fluency in both English and Thai (spoken and written) is necessary for effective communication across diverse teams.
  • Exceptional attention to detail combined with a proactive approach enables you to anticipate challenges before they arise.
  • Proven track record in developing strong financial controls, policies, and procedures aligned with industry best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with executive stakeholders while providing clear strategic recommendations.
  • Experience managing complex budgets for multi-outlet properties including rooms, restaurants, bars, and function spaces is advantageous.
  • Sound understanding of local tax regulations, statutory reporting requirements, and internal audit processes is important.
