What you bring:
To excel as a Strategic Business Partner (Entertainment), you will bring extensive experience from roles where finance is integral to business strategy rather than just reporting. Your background should include significant exposure to FP&A or commercial finance within sectors like FMCG or technology platforms. You possess advanced skills in utilising business intelligence tools for extracting insights from complex datasets—SQL proficiency is especially valuable. Your educational foundation includes a relevant bachelor’s degree; additional certifications such as CPA or CFA further highlight your technical expertise. Beyond technical skills, your ability to challenge assumptions respectfully ensures sound investment choices. You understand how different parts of the business interact—from supply chain operations to marketing effectiveness—and can translate these relationships into actionable plans. Your visionary mindset allows you to balance broad strategic objectives with detailed execution steps. Communication is one of your strengths: you simplify complexity for others while fostering empathy and collaboration throughout the organisation. Managing multiple projects efficiently under pressure comes naturally to you; your agility enables quick adaptation without losing sight of long-term goals.
- At least 7 years’ experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance, or Business Controlling within FMCG or Tech/Platform businesses where finance drives decision-making.
- Proficiency in business intelligence tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or Looker; comfortable working with large datasets to extract actionable insights.
- SQL knowledge is highly advantageous for handling complex data queries and modelling scenarios.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; CPA, CFA, or MBA qualifications are highly regarded for demonstrating technical rigour.
- Ability to challenge senior stakeholders constructively using data-driven arguments to influence investment decisions.
- Deep understanding of business levers including supply chain dynamics, marketing ROI analysis, and pricing strategy development.
- Visionary thinking with the capacity to see both the big picture and intricate details within strategic planning processes.
- Analytical storytelling skills that enable you to persuade and influence through clear communication of numerical insights.
- Magnetic communication abilities allowing you to collaborate empathetically across all levels of the business.
- Execution discipline demonstrated by effective time management and project delivery in fast-moving environments.
