ASSET MANAGEMENT MANAGER

Salary: Competitive and based on experience
Location: Bangkok CBD

Keywords: asset management, energy sector, Bangkok CBD, project finance, financial modelling, cross-functional collaboration, operations management, contract negotiation, risk mitigation, renewable energy

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Asset Management Manager to join a leading organisation in the heart of Bangkok’s Central Business District. This role offers you the chance to play a pivotal part in managing and optimising high-value renewable energy assets, working closely with a diverse team of professionals dedicated to operational excellence and sustainable growth. You will be empowered to shape asset strategies, drive financial performance, and ensure compliance across multiple projects, all while enjoying flexible working opportunities and exposure to international best practices. If you are looking for a position where your expertise in asset management, finance, and stakeholder engagement can make a real impact, this is the perfect next step in your career.

* Take ownership of end-to-end asset management for major renewable energy projects, ensuring optimal performance and value creation through hands-on involvement in budgeting, forecasting, and contract management.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver seamless operations, foster effective partnerships, and implement industry-leading best practices across all assigned projects.
* Benefit from a supportive environment that values professional development, encourages knowledge sharing, and provides opportunities for occasional travel and exposure to international markets.

What you'll do:

As an Asset Management Manager based in Bangkok CBD, you will play a central role in overseeing the full lifecycle of renewable energy assets. Your day-to-day activities will involve close collaboration with internal teams such as finance, technical advisors, site-based staff, as well as external stakeholders including insurance brokers and suppliers. You will be responsible for driving the financial health of each project by preparing budgets, updating financial models, monitoring compliance obligations, and managing drawdowns. In addition to these core duties, you will also be tasked with reviewing financial statements, managing hedging arrangements and debt service payments, as well as ensuring that all contracts are up-to-date and aligned with organisational goals. Your ability to coordinate steering group meetings and liaise with various parties will be crucial in maintaining smooth operations. Success in this role will require a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and a collaborative approach that brings together people from different backgrounds to achieve shared objectives.

* Conduct annual valuations and update financial models using actual data to ensure accurate representation of asset performance.
* Perform sensitivity analyses on key model assumptions and projections to support strategic decision-making processes.
* Produce comprehensive annual production forecasts based on detailed Energy Yield Assessments for each project under your remit.
* Prepare, negotiate, and manage annual budgets for assigned Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs), including ongoing oversight of approved Operations & Maintenance budgets.
* Oversee the preparation of regular management reports that provide clear insights into asset status, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
* Renegotiate or retender maintenance contracts as needed to secure optimal terms and maintain high standards of service delivery.
* Manage service agreements for assigned projects, ensuring all contractual obligations are met efficiently and effectively.
* Update and monitor the Operations Asset Management Plan to align with organisational objectives and regulatory requirements.
* Coordinate renewals of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and manage all project-specific contracts to safeguard business interests.
* Lead steering group meetings for assigned projects, facilitating productive discussions around priorities, risks, and mitigation strategies.

What you bring:

To excel as an Asset Management Manager in this organisation’s dynamic environment, you will bring not only technical proficiency but also outstanding interpersonal skills that enable you to collaborate seamlessly across functions. Your background should include hands-on experience managing large-scale assets—ideally within the renewable energy sector—where you have demonstrated your ability to oversee budgets, contracts, risk assessments, and compliance matters. A deep appreciation for financial analysis coupled with practical knowledge of industry regulations will set you apart. Your approach should be grounded in empathy and cooperation; you thrive when working alongside others towards common goals. Adaptability is key given the occasional need for travel or extended hours during critical periods. Above all else, your commitment to continuous learning ensures that you remain at the forefront of industry developments while contributing positively to team culture.

* A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as finance, engineering or business administration is required to provide a solid foundation for this multifaceted role.
* Proven experience in asset management within the energy sector or related industries demonstrates your ability to handle complex portfolios effectively.
* Strong understanding of finance concepts including valuation techniques and interpretation of financial statements enables you to make informed decisions.
* Experience with financial modelling is highly desirable as it supports robust analysis and scenario planning for asset optimisation.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills allow you to convey complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Demonstrated project management abilities with a track record of setting priorities collaboratively to achieve results within agreed timelines.
* Ability to build constructive relationships internally across departments as well as externally with consultants, suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders fosters a cooperative work environment.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is essential; experience with Microsoft Project or Access is considered an advantage.
* Previous exposure to working abroad or within multicultural teams would be beneficial in supporting global best practice adoption.
* A customer-focused mindset combined with strong organisational skills ensures that client needs are met while maintaining operational efficiency.
