About Compliance Manager role: A rapidly expanding luxury retailer is looking for a high calibre Compliance Manager (x1 vacancy) in Bangkok to take on a newly created role. In this job, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with controls in all finance-related processes, in accordance with Group Policies and Procedures.

What you'll do:

Reporting to the Thailand Finance Director, with functional reporting line to SEA Compliance Manager based in Singapore, the Compliance Manager is responsible for supporting the Compliance function of the company. The role involves coordinating between COO, retailers, finance and function heads to ensure the compliance with controls in accordance with group policies and procedures.

The package includes base salary + performance bonus + provident fund

  • Assess processes and controls, identify and report control gaps, and formulate remediation plans with business users across Brands and Functions in accordance with SOX requirements
  • Perform Tests of Design (TOD) to ensure controls are executed as documented
  • Conduct assessments to identify high-risk areas and execute control self-assessment
  • Coordinate with external auditors/internal auditors on the review of in-scope business cycles or process reviews and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Set up review plans in accordance with group requirements in terms of frequency and areas to be reviewed.
  • Manage end-to-end boutique reviews, including raw data analysis, sample selection, execution of reviews, documentation of results, and discussions with stakeholders and retail management
  • Design additional risk-based review procedures to ensure compliance with local regulations
  • Assist FD in maintaining the internal policies, procedures & controls document and participate in the annual review as per local regulatory requirements
  • Plan and perform special reviews/projects as assigned by management.
  • Participate in ad-hoc incident investigations and report to brand/Function Heads when necessary
  • Enhance existing tools and liaise with various stakeholders to manage the delivery of internal control compliance training content and presentations within the market
  • Ensure retail teams are familiar with key finance principles and controls relevant to boutique operations

What you bring:

To succeed in this Compliance Manager Role, you must possess excellent English communication skills, strong interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels, comfortable working independently and taking initiative while be able to demonstrate ability to work well within cross-functional teams, contributing positively to team dynamics and goals.

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Auditing
  • Minimum of five years of relevant working experience in compliance, external or internal audit role with an international company
  • Good knowledge of international accounting standards and SOX requirements
  • Good understanding of risk management, corporate governance, finance & accounting practices, and fraud concepts. Experience in a related industry will be a plus
  • Able to work independently, self-initiated, highly organised, and possess project management skills
  • Mature and self-motivated, demonstrating a positive and proactive attitude
  • Ability to multitask, manage deadlines, highly agile, and able to deal with ambiguity
  • Strong customer focus (internal and external) with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and confidence in dealing with different management levels
