What you'll do:
As an AR Accountant, your primary responsibility will be managing the accounts receivable ledger, ensuring all payments are accurately accounted for. You'll also be tasked with reconciling transactions between sales reports and bank statements, as well as coordinating with various departments to ensure timely data availability. Your role will extend beyond just number crunching - you'll also be involved in preparing tax reports, issuing invoices, liaising with audit teams, and assisting in month-end closing activities. Your ability to collaborate effectively will be crucial as you'll work closely with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
* Checking and verifying AR transactions
* Reconciling the accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted
* Coordinating with sales department across all branches including bank partners to ensure timely and accurate data
* Preparing and consolidating output tax reports for submission to the Revenue Department
* Issuing sales tax invoices and sending them to clients
* Recording receipts by entering them into accounting software (SAP)
* Liaising with internal audit and external audit teams
* Assisting with month-end closing activities and ad hoc assignments
* Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
* Collaborating with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this AR Accountant position brings a wealth of experience in account receivable roles along with a solid understanding of overall accountancy. You should hold a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy and have at least 5 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in SAP program is essential for this role. Your strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and ability to multitask will be key in this role. Your strong data analytic skills and proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office will be put to good use. Experience in the retail business would be a distinct advantage.
